What are the Ten Souls

What are the Ten Souls (十神)?

The Ten Souls (十神 / ShiShen) are ten relational archetypes derived from how every other element in your Bazi chart relates to your Day Master. Each describes a distinct personality pattern — how you love, work, and handle pressure.

Unlike a Western MBTI type, a Ten Soul is computed from your birth time, not self-reported. That means it is stable and cannot be flattered into a prettier answer.

The ten archetypes

Each Soul is a posture toward the world — a way of giving, receiving, ordering, or breaking ground. Your dominant Soul is the pattern that shows up most consistently in how you live.

Frequently asked

How do I find my dominant Ten Soul?

Enter your birth date and time at www.decasoul.com/test. In about two minutes you get your dominant Soul and a one-line portrait, with the full report sent to your email for free.

Can I have more than one Ten Soul?

Yes. A chart contains all ten relationships; some are strong and some weak. Your dominant Soul is the one that shapes you most, but the supporting Souls color how it shows up.

Is the Ten Souls system the same as MBTI?

No. MBTI has 16 self-reported types with roughly 50% retest reliability; the Ten Souls are ten birth-computed archetypes that stay constant.
